Abstract

As “I” we mature from our status of belonging to our family and the world and are finally able to embrace a conscious “We.” We-consciousness is the inner side of our relationships, i.e., the experiences of our communities. We-consciousness transcends our I-consciousness and attributes it initially to the participation in our partnership, family, friendships, working community, neighborhood, society, mankind and finally the community of all living things. Life lives and unfolds itself as I, You and We. In bringing this to mind we bear responsibility and have the freedom to creatively engage in the evolution as a common development of our individual and common life. Therefore, we can contribute to this great, open, and creative development in the sense of a new western spirituality.
