Integral approaches to knowledge within the Wilberian philosophy of consciousness

Abstract

The American contemporary philosopher Ken Wilber spawned an ontological model for understanding and exploring phenomenological realities in context of evolution of consciousness, referring to ancient wisdom traditions and famous philosophers and psychologists. An integral map is crystallizing, that is to appreciate because of its complexity and simple elegance. The phenomenological experiencing in the model of Wilber is enhanced by the integration of religious, spiritual or transpersonal experiences.

Author Biography

Tim Glogner

born 1978, Dipl.-Psych. with focus on educational psychology and health psychology; psychotherapist in training for children and adolescents, training in systemic psychotherapy, writer, artist, PhD student of philosophy, mystic. Since the age of 18 he has been gaining experience in various social professions and initiatives, mainly with children and adolescents in need of help, and thus became acquainted with therapeutic and social structures from different perspectives. His interest has always been in philosophy, various wisdom teachings, consciousness and spirituality. In addition, there were mystical self-experiences, which deepened his understanding of life and revealed to him transcendence as something real, but never as something final. His interest shifted increasingly towards networking and artistic expression, with theatrical play being a central aspect here. Living in his experiential spaces and forms of expression is for him a multidimensional and integral process. A universal spirituality, which can be discovered and lived in one's own heart and also in the community of humanity (again and again), is for him forward-looking.
