Abstract
Death and Dying. Questions and answers in Hinduism, Buddhism and Christendom. Though suffering and death as biological processes are anthropological constants, they are interpreted in the light of cultural parameters, which are subject to historical change. Accordingly dying and death are experienced differently in different religions, depending on their ideas of space and time and their social relations. However, with all those differences, the answers of religions to our mortality have in common a longing for completion.
