Abstract
Limits and potentials of neuroscience in order to explore the human consciousness become discussed. Logical failures and confusions arising from separating the mind from the brain and from mixing different levels of reality. Neuroscientists with some transpersonal understanding do not reduce the human counsciousness to biological factors. They acknowledge correlations between biological, psychological and social processes as parts of the whole and form a holistic concept of consciousness. The potential of consciousness in its qualities of self trancendence, presence, resonance, integration and transformation can be supported by actual data in neuroscience.
