Strength from silence – Meditation in the desert
Essential spaces of resonance for healing
Abstract
This article is based on a lecture given by the author at the GBP annual conference. She combines her knowledge from various spiritual traditions with biodynamic psychology and psychotherapy. In therapeutic work with the subtle human level, experiences may arise that require sensitive support and a more holistic, transpersonal understanding. In this process, the mind should step back in order to allow consciousness to come into contact with a deeper dimension – the essence of being. Bettina Specht relates the experiences of participants in the “desert retreats” she has developed. The concluding perspective deals with returning to everyday life, with embedding the individual in the collective healing space of the earth, with the strength of the earth, and the connection between individual transformative and healing processes and collective trauma work.
