Abstract
This article “The Depth of Now” offers a new view into Jan Vermeer’s famous work of art “The Milkmaid” from the perspective of Psychosynthesis. Close inspection of the painting reveals the dimensions of awareness, timelessness and tranquility. This allows the reader to experience that ‘sensualspiritual eros’ which shows itself in a totally inconspicuous action and leads us beyond thinking into an immediate experience of being.
